Let's Play Catch... Up 2

Happy Monday friends! Long time no talk! Hope you guys have been doing well. Anyways, everything is great here with me and Bruno. I’m currently taking some classes and working in Corona so Bruno is learning to be more independent at home (I’m sure all he does is sleep anyways). Luckily, I don’t have to get to Corona until noon so I usually take him to the dog park or on long walks to tire him out for the day.

So, I’m one of those people who throw birthday parties for my dog. Bruno’s birthday is not until end of July but I’m already planning for it. Last year we celebrated Bruno’s birthday at Rosie’s Dog Beach with our French bulldog meet up group; I think I want to do something different this year, we’re just going to have a small party at the dog park with our close friends and family. I’ve been obsessing over Bruno’s birthday for almost a week. I get so excited just thinking about all the crafting I get to do for this event. For the next few post, I will post up what I have made for Bruno’s birthday party along with templates that I have found online for you to use whenever you want to have a birthday party for your furbabies.
All me!!
Anyways, here are some pictures to update you on what Prince Bruno has been up to.
We recently purchased this faux sheepskin from IKEA for Bruno and he LOVES it! I believe I got it for $30. Jarryd thought it was an unnecessary purchase, but Bruno enjoys it! PRICELESS!!

we've also moved to a new apartment with a balcony and I would always find Bruno people watching from the balcony. #peepingbruno #perv
there's a playground in our apartment complex where I would take Bruno if the dog park is closed. He likes to run around in the wood chips and look for birds to chase. He's not wearing a leash in the picture because he's been really good about staying close to me and not running off.
I started taking Bruno to the big dog section of the dog park and he's been doing so well in there. He plays well with the bigger dogs because he thinks he's a big dog himself and I don't have to worry about him tackling other dogs like I do when we're in the little dog section of the park.
That's it for now! Thanks for reading! I promise I will be more consistent with my posts! Got to get my creative juice flowing! Bye! Have a wonderful day!

Rosie's Reindeer Romp

This past Sunday, Bruno and I attended a meetup at the dog beach. I wish I got more footage of it but as always, there were so many people and Frenchies there, I was overwhelmed. But we still had lots of fun seeing old friends and meeting old ones. One of our meetup members got Santa to come out to our meetup to help raise money for the French Bulldog Rescue Network! It was a wonderful idea and for an amazing cause too! I was going to have Bruno wear his Christmas sweater but he played in the water and was all wet so I didn't have him wear it. I was so bummed because it would've been such a cute Christmas card picture for our friends and families.
Anyways, hope you enjoy our short little VLOG!

lets play catch... up

Hi friends! So yes, I am back! To be honest, I didn't go anywhere. I just haven't been writing at all because, well, I've been so unmotivated to write. However, my younger sister encouraged me to starting writing again, so here I am! I wanna catch you up on a couple of things in regards to Bruno and our little family.

First, Bruno's diet has changed. He's on the raw food diet and he loves it. I've mentioned in my previous post that Bruno was being really stubborn with his Blue Buffalo kibbles, he would eat once a day and I think it was only because he was really hungry and had to give in. We are now feeding him Stella and Chewy's frozen patties. We give Bruno half a patty and 1/4 cup of his Blue Buffalo kibbles each meal. We are noticing Bruno getting a little toned ever since he started the diet, I'm not sure if it's from the diet or if it's because he's getting mature and losing his baby weight. You can check out Stella and Chewy's website and get a better understanding of the raw food diet. I would definitely recommend the raw food diet to French Bulldog owners just because our dogs are prone to allergic reactions to grain and fillers, and the raw diet does not have any of that. I'll admit, Stella and Chewy's is a little on the pricey side, but it's made with absolutely the best ingredients. We get our frozen patties from the Pet Supply store on Culver and Walnut in Irvine; it is cheaper if you get the chicken patties ($21.99 for the 6lbs I think...) as oppose to the other flavors (29.99 I think...). I will make a mental note to remember the pricing and let you guys know! I was told that Centenila in Costa Mesa has affordable pricing on the frozen patties too, if I ever get the chance to go I will let you guys know the pricing!

Last month, our family went on a little road trip to NorCal to attend our good friends, Ron and Desiree's wedding. The drive was incredibly long but Bruno behaved so well in the car. He usually does well during car rides. We only had to make a few pee stops along the way. Here are some pictures I took to commemorate our trip! Enjoy!

FLEAS GO AWAY! YOU'RE NOT WELCOMED HERE!

Hi friends! Hope everybody had an amazing weekend! Vegas was a blast but I was definitely happy to be reunited with Bruno... and Jarryd (can't forget about the boyfriend!)
Anyways, today being the 10th is the day we give Bruno his once a month flea prevention medication, Trifexis.
look at the boy and his dog... they look so happy!
This amazing tablet also protects him from heartworm disease and intestinal parasites (healthy Bruno is a happy Bruno). To read more about Trifexis, click here. They claim that it tastes like beef and that you can give it to your dog as a treat, which I'd say is a total lie! I have to hide it in treats in order for Bruno to eat it! It smells straight up like medicine! YUCK! I can't even hide it in his food because Bruno will sniff it out and eat around it! Don't get me wrong, I still really like Trifexis because it has been working for Bruno... just saying you will need to get creative to get your dog to eat it.
I have to break the pill into little pieces so I can hide it!
Bruno can't resist cake!
At first, I thought it works as a repellent (like the mosquito repellent you see in commercials) that creates a protective barrier around your dog haha, but it's not like that at all; it just kills fleas within minutes after they have taken their last bite into your dog (slowly and painfully... just kidding but I hope that's how they die!)
If you're interested in getting Trifexis for your dog, definitely ask your vet about it. Just a heads up, it's a little expensive but totally worth it! You can save up to $25 by completing a mail-in rebate on the Trifexis website
Oh my gosh guys, on the side note, it has been so hot in the last couple of days and I haven't been taking Bruno to the dog park because when it does get cool, it's already late and I get so lazy!! I will start taking Bruno to the park today! Thank goodness it's starting to get a little cooler! Summer heat is no bueno!

Gone for the weekend

Hi guys! ugh so today I will be leaving for Vegas with my girl friends. This is my first time since forever to go on a trip without Jarryd and I'm just feeling so anxious. Mostly it's because I'll have nobody to talk to about how much I miss Bruno! Usually when Jarryd and I go on a trip we have each other to talk about Bruno and that helps me get through the day, but this time, I'll be all by myself. I mean... it'll be good for me to get out and spend time with my girlfriends but I'm already looking forward to coming home to my baby! It's so crazy how obsessed I am with my dog sometimes, but I can't help it. Good thing I have tons of pictures of Bruno on my phone to help me get through the trip! Probably going to make Jarryd facetime with me over the weekend so I can see my little man too.
This picture is from the first time I was away from Bruno and had Jarryd facetime with me. Look how little he was!!

Anyways, have a good weekend friends!! I'll talk to you guys when I get back!

Treat Yourself Tuesday: DogsButter, Banana, and Oats Cookie

Hi friends! It's Treat Yourself Tuesday! Here's another easy recipe you guys can try for your furbabies. It's the peanut butter, banana, and oats cookie; I switched out the peanut butter and replaced it with Dogsbutter (but if you want to use peanut butter, try to use the one with no salt). I found the recipe while scrolling down Pinterest; it's from this blog that has a lot of fun dog friendly recipes like the one I'm about to share with you and a dog ice cream sandwich that I'm very excited to try.
To make this dog treat, you will need
1. 1 egg
2. 1 mashed banana
3. 1/2 cup rolled oats
4. 1/2 cup DogsButter
5. 1 cup of all purpose flour
6. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
put all the ingredients into a mixing bowl and mix it up
roll it out and cut it out in whatever shape you want
Bake for 15-20 minutes on 375 degrees
TA-DA!! it smells so good fresh out of the oven!
Bruno approves!!
